By building free fences our fence program frees dogs living on chains and gives families and pets a safe place to strengthen their bond. Prior to building a fence, we provide free spay or neuter for each dog. We also supply each dog with a dog house, provide wheat straw during the cold winter months and tarps for shade in the summer heat. We’ve unchained over 2,200 dogs to date.
Ella contacted us after her husband passed away and left her and his dog, Ringo, behind. Ella’s husband had been Ringo’s primary caretaker and the two had a bond she didn’t fully realize. Ella noticed that Ringo was grieving the loss of her husband just as she was. She was so moved by this and as she began spending time with Ringo and consoling him, she found comfort in their relationship. She also realized he would be happier not living on a chain. Ella heard from a friend about our services and reached out. We were so happy to provide a fence for Ella and Ringo and to see the amazing connection between the two of them.
Your support of our Fence Program ensures we have materials on hand to build fences for chained dogs like Ringo. If you are interested in sponsoring a complete fence build for one of our dogs, please email Lori at firstname.lastname@example.org
